Try It Tuesday

Happy Tuesday, Tryers!

For those of you that know me (or follow this blog, or are within 10 feet of me at the grocery store) know that I L-O-V-E anything with peanut butter and chocolate. So it should come as no surprise that I love Butterfinger’s candy.

I also love puppy chow (some people call it muddy buddies, but I prefer puppy chow).

So when I saw this on Pinterest, I HAD to try it out:

Nom, nom, nom.

Nom, nom, nom.

This yummy dessert/snack/breakfast only has 5 ingredients! Woot woot!

All you need is:

6 C. Rice Chex Cereal
1 C. milk chocolate chips
1/2 C. peanut butter, smooth
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/3 C. Butterfingers or Chick-O-Sticks, crushed
Measure out your 6 cups of Chex and put it in a bowl to the side. Get your Butterfingers and toss them in a bag and take out all your aggression on the candy. I liked to pretend that the candy was my Braxton Hicks contractions. Needless to say, the bag ended up with some holes in it because I was a little overzealous.
There were no survivors.

After that, get your chocolate chips, peanut butter, and vanilla and put it in a microwave safe bowl. Melt in the microwave for about 45 seconds. Take it out, stir, and then heat for another 20 seconds.

These are a few of my favorite things...

When you’ve stirred up your pb&c mixture, pour the yummy goodness (if you haven’t eaten it all already) onto the cereal in the large bowl and stir. Make sure you cover all of the cereal with chocolate/peanut butter. After that, pour the crushed Butterfinger over the top and stir.

Then, pour the cereal onto a waxed paper-lined cookie sheet and cool. OMG you guys, I am totes making this again! It was SO YUMMY! Definitely a new favorite of mine!

I may have eaten half of this before it completely cooled.
