You’re all probably sick of me writing about Comic Con. And, if you are, then I have only one thing to say to you:
Now that that’s settled, lets move on.
Comic Con was last week and sadly, I was not there. However I did do a lot of internet searching stalking and found out some awesome tidbits about all the nerdy things I (and many of you) love!
First up, the movies!
At the Divergent panel, the stars talked about the movie adaptation of one of my new favorite dystopian series. From what I gather around the interwebs, the cast was pretty vague about what was going to happen in the movie/how close to the book it would be. Although Shailene Woodley (AKA, Tris) did say she was excited to see how the scene where Christina is held over the chasm turns out in the final cut!
Oh yes, JLaw and JHutch were at this year’s SDCC with all the Quarter Quell scoop! I couldn’t find any video of the actual panel, but I’m really hoping that the guy that plays Finnick was there in his net toga. I’m sure the fangirls would’ve went wild! Even if he wasn’t, they surely flip their lids when they saw the NEW trailer for CF! I dare you to not get goosebumps:
According to what I’ve read on various geeky sites, the sequel to Captain America is going to be EPIC. We’re going to see Capt. Steve Rogers like we’ve never seen him before. He’s more confident after leading the Avengers in NYC, and is ready to take on anything (except maybe pop culture references that have nothing to do with flying monkeys). And, according to many con-goers, there’s a steamy kissing scene between the Captain and Black Widow. I know a certain sister of mine who is NOT going to be happy about that!
Oh yes, my friends, the rumors are true. At the Man of Steel panel, director Zach Snyder broke the news that a Batman/Superman flick is in the works and should be released in 2015! Henry Cavill will come back as the wonder boy from Krypton, as will Amy Adams and Diane Lane. The question is now, who will be Batman? Christian Bale has already said he’s hung up the cowl for good, so he will not be returning. My vote? Joseph Gordon Levitt. I really hope they do this right. Maybe Snyder should call up Joss Whedon for some advice…?
And now for the television shows!
OMZ. I am so freaking excited for the new season of The Walking Dead! I actually got to watch the trailer online a few days ago (okay, I’ve watched it like, 4 times now) and I got chills Every. Single. Time. The peeps from the jail are back and have a new sense of survival. Rick’s back from his CrazyTown trip and is finally back to the Rick we know and love. Carl’s hair is still growing and Daryl still looks like the hottest homeless man in the world. Now that the whole Woodbury fiasco is over and done with, the show can get back to the main point of it all: ZOMBIES. Holy crap were there a lot of undead walking around in that trailer! Don’t believe me? Just take a look…
This year’s season finale of VD left me going: “OMG!” and “Whaaa—?”
Whilst I was shocked by some of the things that happened (Bonnie dying, Jeremy coming back to life, Katherine becoming human, and Stefan being Silas’ doppelganger, I was also confused. Why would Klaus just up and leave? (Because of the spinoff, duh) And if the hunters are all alive, why can’t Bonnie be alive too? I thought all the supernatural’s were supposed to cross back through the veil…? Anyway, at Comic Con last week the VD panel showed a new trailer for this season and I am so stoked! I remember when I went to Comic Con and on preview night, we got to see the first episode of the show. I looked over at my sister when the credits rolled and said: “Um, we HAVE to watch this!”
link this to Johnny Galecki:
From what I gathered, the panel for TBBT was supposed to just be writers…not really something you get too worked up about. But, in true Comic Con fashion, there were a few surprises to be revealed. Melissa Rauch (AKA Bernadette) stepped out to a roar of applause when introduced as the panel’s moderator. When Rauch opened the panel up for questions from the audience, someone dressed as Boushh (AKA Princess Leia’s alter ego in Return of the Jedi) with mask and all, Rauch exclaimed: “Reveal yourself!” To which the Boushh impersonator took off his helmet and replied: “Someone who loves you!” It was none other than Dr. Hofstadter himself, Mr. Johnny Galecki! The crowd of course went wild and Johnny joined the panel of writers. When the audience members asked what we could see in season 7, the writers threw them a bone: we’ll see Leonard on the ship working with Stephen Hawking’s crew, Amy and Bernadette are going to take a trip sans Penny, and when asked if Amy and Sheldon would ever take their relationship to the next level (nudge, nudge; wink, wink) the writer’s said: “It’s a very good possibility!” *Cue the middle school “Ooooooh”s! The panel concluded with a very special (and funny) video from Stephen Hawking:
