Try It Tuesday

Its Tuesday! AND it was a snow day! So you know what that means…Today’s Try It is a yummy treat!

Oooohhhh yeeeahhh!

Oooohhhh yeeeahhh!

Oh yes! That’s a peanut butter, chocolate chip, Reese’s Pieces cookie! I found this nummy on Pinterest!

Here’s what you need:

1 large egg
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
pinch salt, optional and to taste
1 cup Reese’s Pieces
1 cup chocolate chips

First, I preheated the oven to 350*. After that, I creamed together the first five ingredients on high until it was fluffy. Around 5 minutes or so.

This smelled AWESOME!

Then, I added the flour and baking soda and mixed for about a minute. You don’t want to over mix it.

It'll be a little firmer. Don't freak out; its supposed to look a little dry.

Next, I add the Reese’s Pieces and chocolate chips. I actually mixed this by hand because I didn’t want to smoosh all the candies.

The BEST part!

The BEST part!

I sprayed a cookie sheet with Pam and then put the dough on the pan. I actually rolled the dough into balls at first, because that’s usually how I make chocolate chip cookies. That batch didn’t turn out too well.

Yeah. Not so much.

Yeah. Not so much.

I guess it was the peanut butter, but they didn’t flatten out how I thought they would. So I made sure to flatten out the last batch before putting the dough in the oven. I baked them for about 8 minutes.

MUCH better!

MUCH better!

They turned out a lot better!

Tasty!

Tasty!

Guys, these cookies were DELISH! So yummy and a great alternative to plain old chocolate chip cookies! (Make sure you have a cup of cold milk, though! They’re really rich!)
