Try It Tuesday

You guys, Friday used to be my favorite day of the week. But now, Tuesday is running a very close second! Mostly because I get to try out delicious recipes like this one!

Oh yes! I have been missing cookie dough like an idiot misses the point. When I got preggers, I couldn’t do a lot of things: go skydiving, run with the bulls, and, worst of all, I couldn’t like the beaters when someone made cough dough or brownie batter. It was rough. Now that Little Miss has made her entrance into the world (and everyone’s hearts) I’m still a little wary about eating that stuff because I’m nursing. So when I saw this on Pinterest, I literally did a happy dance. I’m not kidding. I seriously twerked like Miley Cyrus. Okay, maybe not. But I was excited!

Here’s what you need:

  • 2 TBS butter, softened
  • 2 TBS brown sugar
  • 1 TBS sugar
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1 TBS milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 6 TBS flour
  • 1/4 cup milk chocolate chips

First, cream together the butter and sugars in a small bowl.

Then, add the milk and vanilla to the mixture. But, be careful to not spill too much vanilla into your batter like I did. Because it will make it SUPER vanilla-y and may ruin the dough for you. Speaking from experience.

Add in the remaining ingredients and stir. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes (or forgo the refrigeration if you don’t like cold dough. I, for one, heart cold dough, so I popped mine in the fridge while I answered emails). Then, grab a spoon and partake!

OMG. YOU GUYS. THIS was AWESOME. Full disclosure, it was a tad too vanilla for my liking (but that’s because I have very unsteady man-hands and totes spilled like 2 tablespoons of that jazz in the dough) but it was! Seriously. I WILL be making this again!
