Happy Veteran’s Day, everyone!
Today’s Try It doesn’t have anything to do with the military. But it does have to do with freedom. The freedom every man, woman, and child should have. A freedom that not only highlights our independence, but also brings a great relief.
I’m talking about the freedom to poop without fear.
If you’re like me, you’re terrified of going to a friend’s house, feeling that old familiar rumble in your tummy and immediately fear the inevitable: you’re about to stink up someone else’s home.
Well, fret no more peeps! I’m here to help!
There’s an amazing product called Poo-Pourri. It works great but it’s $10 for a 2oz bottle. That’s a lot of dough just to hide your stench!
Thanks to Pinterest I found this simple and cost-effective alternative to flushing your money down the toilet (pun totally intended).
Here’s what you need:
~A small spray bottle
You can choose whatever scent of oil you’d like. I used eucalyptus and spearmint. Mostly because I already had them, but also because I really like those scents.
First, pour one teaspoon rubbing alcohol into the bottle. Then, sprinkle 30-40 drops of the oils into the bottle.
Fill up the rest of the bottle with water, shake, and you’re done!
I didn’t have a chance to REALLY test it out (if you know what I mean), but I did spray it into the toilet just to see if it worked. The bathroom was filled with the light, lovely scent! It was awesome! (If you desire a stronger scent, go with a lemongrass or ginger scent; I needed something that wouldn’t reek havoc on my sinuses). This was so easy–and cheap! I had everything on hand except the spray bottle, which I got at Wally World for $0.98! So today’s Try It was less than a Route 44 Diet Dr. Pepper at Sonic during happy hour!
