Try It Tuesday

Its the second day of the week and you know what that means! Try It Tuesday, baby!

I am super excited about today’s Try It. Lately my skin has been…less than pristine.

I’ve seen a lot of dry patches, bumps, and *gasp* wrinkles! Since I don’t feel like an old lady on the inside (sometimes I still think I’m 25) I want to feel like my young-at-heart self on the outside. Enter: today’s Try It!

I’ve always wanted to try microdermabrasion but I thought it was a crazy-expensive procedure that would hurt and not help my face at all. Then, I went to the store and saw the Neutrogena Microdermabrasion Kit for only $19.99! I basically did the Kermit arm flail as I tossed that bad boy into my buggy.

The kit comes with the handheld massager, a month’s worth of cleansing pads (14), and a removable pad attachment.

I was a little nervous when I attached the pad, because I thought that the scrubbers might fall off of the massager. After all, it looked like it was being held on by Velcro:

After I attached the scrubbing pad to the attachment, I pressed it onto the massager, wet the scrubbing pad, and then gently cleaned my face:

The instructions said to move slowly all over your face, keeping the scrubber in the same area for about a minute. I had to add water a few times, just to get the suds going, but OH. EM. GEE. This was UH-MAZE-BALLS! After I rinsed my face I felt my cheek and said, “Holy crap! My face feels like a baby’s butt!” (I should’ve taken an after photo, but I forgot!)

This microdermabrasion kit is FAB! My skin feels sooooooo soft and it looks so much better! Even after just ONE use! It was totes worth the twenty bucks!

My ONLY complaint is that when I went to remove the scrubbing pad from the attachment head, it left a lot of fuzzies behind which were a pain to get rid of. But other than that, this was a crazy-successful Try It Tuesday!
