Try It Tuesday

try it tuesday new

Last week, a friend of mine sent me a picture of a dessert she made. I immediately wanted to eat all of it, it looked so tasty! She graciously sent me the recipe from Pinterest and I whipped it up last night!

Nummy-looking, right?! Here’s what you need:

Try It Tuesday 2-23-16~Two packs of crescent rolls

~Pineapple tidbits

~Corn starch

~Cream cheese

~Any fruit you’d like to add! I used bananas, kiwis, and frozen blueberries/strawberries (mostly because that’s what I had on hand and thought I’d save some cash by using what I already had)

~Granulated sugar (not pictured)

First, light your oven to 350 (or 375, depending on what cookie sheet you use–i.e., non-stick, dark, light, etc.) Then, unroll your crescent rolls onto a jelly roll pan or cookie sheet and bake 9-12 minutes.

While the crust cools, strain and drain the pineapple tidbits and save the juice.

In a bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of the pineapple juice, the cream cheese, and 1/2 cup of sugar.

Then, spread it onto the cooled crust.

Next, add your fruit! After you’ve added your fruit, take the remaining pineapple juice and pour it into a small pot. Add 2 tablespoons of cornstarch and cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until the mixture thickens up.

Then, drizzle it over your fruit pizza and voila!

OMG, y’all. I seriously could’ve eaten the entire thing! It was DELISH! I think next time we go to a family function where I have to bring food, I’m totally bringing this!
