Her’s Day Thursday

The other day, while looking up where I could find some of my favorite bath bombs, I found out the the makers of said bathtime treats were not only sisters but TEENAGE sisters! There story was too amazing not to share!

When Caroline and Isabel Bercaw were 10 and 11 years old, they decided to make bath bombs for a science experiment. After the girls saw the fun in creating (and using) their creations, they decided to open up a boot at a local art fair. Their start-up cost was around $350–which was graciously lent to them by their mother–and they were able to pay her back (and make over $350 in profit) their first day at the fair! The girls were selling out of their bath bombs so quickly, they couldn’t make them fast enough!

Because of their success, the girls’ parents were eventually able to quit their jobs and run DaBomb Fizzers full-time! Dad runs the financial aspect of the company, Mom manages marketing, and Caroline and Isabel are co-chief creative officers (they create and test the bath bombs–all of which come with a surprise inside) as well as act as the faces of the company!

The girls not only love what they do, but they love that they are in a position to give back. One of their bath bombs, the Earth Bomb, gives a portion of its profit to The Ocean Cleanup, an organization that helps keep the world’s oceans clean!

These girls have not only made bathtime more fun, but are an inspiration to young people everywhere that they have the potential to make their dreams happen! Way to go, girls!

Fan Girl Friday!

Its the first Friday of the new year, peeps, which means its the first Fan Girl Friday of 2017! WOOOOO! And get ready because I’ve got some awesome finds to kick your year off and help you stick with those resolutions!

If you’ve resolved to be more positive, check out these affirmation cards from Paper Source!

Each card has a positive affirmation to help you put that negativity to rest and embrace the new year with a new outlook! Plus, unicorns.

Maybe your resolution is to start keeping a diary, but writing a long journal entry every day seems a big daunting. Look no further than the One Line a Day diary!

This memory book has space for one line a day, every day, for five years! Just jot down a daily note: “Dropped my churro on the street today. Five second rule FTW!” or maybe a funny quote you overheard. Plus, when you fill it up, it will be fun to look back over the past five years of memories!

Perhaps you’ve resolved to start a new hobby. Might I suggest the Clay Animation Movie Kit?

Yes, I know this is *technically* for kids, but it looks awesome! The kit includes: a movie studio stage, 4 full color backdrops, one white backdrop, phone camera stand, 4 sheets of props, 8 colors of modeling clay, 2 modeling tools, and 18 googly eyes in 3 sizes! Just don’t fall too deep down the rabbit hole like Ben Wyatt.

And maybe, you’re one of the folks that said, “Eff resoltuions! I just want to stay at home and chillax.” I’ve got you covered too! You, my friend, need these bath bombs–they are simply out of this world! (Hey-o!)

Each bath bomb has a different fragrance and represents eight of the planets (poor Pluto!) and the sun!

Happy fangirling!
