Happy Friday, folks! Today, I’ve rounded up some of the newest trailers for upcoming movies I’m super excited about! Let’s dive right in, shall we?

This Christmas, things are getting a little more magical with a new imaging of the Disney classic, Mary Poppins!

We’ll see if Emily Blunt can fill Julie Andrews beautifully tailored boots!

Next up, we’ve got another Star Wars flick to look forward to! This time, we’re going to get the inside scoop on the history of everyone’s scruffy-looking nerf herder!

Every wonder why The Grinch hated Christmas so much? Well, this November we’re going to finally find out! Voiced by Sherlock, er, I mean Benedict Cumberbatch, The Grinch is in theaters this year just in time for the holidays!

Everyone’s favorite super hero family is back this June in the much-anticipated sequel, The Incredibles 2!

Which movie are you most excited about? Share in the comments below!

Happy Friday, y’all! With the impending arrival of Huff the Babe, I’ve been slacking a lot on my bog-writing duties. But, I couldn’t let another week go by without sharing some awesomely geeky delights for you!

Even though its barely March, I’m already thinking ahead to Mother’s Day. I’m thinking I need to tell Huff the Hubs that my Littles need to get this for their momma:

Love you to the moon and back necklace

Isn’t it so cute?! Perpetual Kid really knows the way to a momma’s heart!

Around this house, there are about five things that Huff the Tot absolutely loves. And one of those things is Pete the Cat! So imagine my delight when I read that Pete will be starring in his very own show!

Pete the Cat

The release date is still TBA, but the creator of Phineas and Ferb has already been named as the show’s director! P and F is a hilarious show, so hopefully Pete will be a great one as well!

I’ve got a long list of books to read on Goodreads that hasn’t really been touched in the past 6 months. Because, toddler. And now, one of my “Books to Read” is about to be made into a movie! Miss Peregrine’s School for Peculiar Children has always piqued my interest, and seeing that Tim Burton is set to direct the film adaptation, I’m feeling the need to read this book!

miss-peregrine-a_0 (1)

Here is a brief synopsis from IMBD: “When a teen (Asa Butterfield) visits a magical place known as Miss Peregrine’s School for Peculiar Children, he learns that his new friends have special powers and powerful enemies.” The film comes out September 30th so I better get to reading!

Easter is only three weeks away! Can you believe it?! It seems like yesterday we were decorating the Christmas tree! I love the tradition of Easter baskets and I’m REALLY hoping I get one of these in mine:

Benedict Cumberbatch Chocolate

Its a chocolate Cumberbunny! A chocolatier over in Europe has crafted these Sherlockian sweets just in time for Easter! They’re around $70, so they’d better taste as good as they look!

Happy Friday, y’all!

Today has been a CRAZY day! Huff the Hubs got his wisdom teeth pulled this morning and I’ve been taking care of him while also scouring the internet for awesomely nerdy nifties for YOU! (I’ve also been researching how much it will cost us to move because I saw a mouse in our kitchen this morning and I do NOT want to live here anymore!)

Remember how awesome it was when Johnny Depp was the Madhatter in Alice in Wonderland? And how we all wished we could see him reprise his role? Well pine no longer, lovelies! Our wishes have come true! The sequel to Alice in WonderlandAlice Through The Looking Glass, is set to hit theaters next May! AND, its awesome trailer (complete with Alan Rickman voice over) is out!

And speaking of deep-voiced Brits, have y’all seen the  latest trailer for Sherlock‘s Christmas special?! NO?! Well, here it is!

Sidebar: When I see Holmes and Watson dressed like that, all I can think of is The Great Mouse Detective, ha ha!

Sadly, I don’t have a trailer for this last find, BUT I do have pictures and insider info! The latest film from the wizarding world of JK Rowling, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, officially has a logo AND a plot!

Fan Girl Friday Fantastic Beasts Eddie

The film, starring Eddie Redmayne, will be full of the magical world we all know and love, but with some twists. According to Entertainment Weekly:

“Eccentric magizoologist Newt Scamander comes to New York (for a reason we won’t disclose) with his trusty weathered case. This case is one of those way-way-way-bigger-on-the-inside magical devices, and within are expansive habitats for a collection of rare and endangered magical creatures from Newt’s travels around globe. He discovers the American wizarding community is fearfully hiding from Muggles (who are called “No-Maj” in the States) and the threat of public exposure is an even graver concern than in the UK (remember the Salem witch trials?). Fantastic Beasts is the story of what happens when this uniquely skilled English wizard travels to wiz-phobic America and a variety of his creatures, some quite dangerous … get out of their case.”

SQEEEEE!!!!! I. CANNOT. WAIT.

Hey you guyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyys!

Its Friday, people and I cannot believe it! I guess since I took a few days off this week has seemed so incredibly short! I am seriously in disbelief that it’s Friday. But, I’m glad it is! Because that means I can share with you all the fantastically fan-worthy finds I’ve stumbled upon this week!

Did you hear the collective cry of: “Why, GOD?! WHY?!” this week? Every fangirl in the world lamented the fact that everyone’s favorite sexy sleuth is officially off the market. Yep, Benedict Cumberbatch is engaged to his long-time girlfriend, Sophie Hunter. So yes, technically he’s no longer a free man. But, we can still giddy and giggly watching him do some spot on impressions of other celebs:

Speaking of folks across the pond, we have less than TWO months until we return to our beautiful home in the English countryside—Downton Abbey. And, lucky for us, a new trailer has been released!

Oh yeah, I just. Got. CHILLS.

I so jazzed that it is FINALLY getting cold around! Its my favorite season! No, not winter, hoodie season! And what better way to stay warm and cozy than with this adorable hoodie from Think Geek:

Give warm hugs and stay cozy!

My love for Harry Potter runs crazy deep. I mean, my daughter’s name is Hermione for heaven’s sake! But, I may think about the franchise a bit differently had the designs for the creatures and places been a bit…well, darker. Never before seen concept art for the HP films was released this week and, to be honest, they are probably going to haunt my dreams tonight! Just look!

Ah, Friday. Once again you grace us with your beautiful presence and boatloads of geeky gossip and fangirl fabulosity to get us through the last few hours of the grind!

Remember last summer when that weirdo-beardo statue of Colin Firth’s Mr. Darcy popped up in a lake in London, leaving many of scratching our heads and thinking, “Huh?” Well, our favorite sexy sleuth has done his own rendition of “Darcy-ing”, wet t-shirt and all! (Warning: this picture is very swoon-worthy. Try not to faint, ladies.)

"I love you, most ardently."

“I love you, most ardently.”

And he’s not just doing this so we can all bask in the glory of Benedict’s beauty. This is one of many shots taken for the “Give Up Clothes for Good” campaign, benefiting cancer research! Its a win-win!

In other crush-worthy-television-nerdy-boy news, the final season of How I Met Your Mother is going to be released on DVD in just 4 days! There’s going to be tons of bonus extras, including a MUCH better ending to the tale of Ted Mosby (but you can watch it before you buy it here) and we FINALLY get an answer to the question that’s been plaguing us since Season One: WHERE DID THE PINEAPPLE COME FROM?!

ted gif

Seriously! We were told that all loose ends were going to be tied up but there’s was no reference to the pineapple incident at all in the season finale! That is, until now. Oh yes my friends, the mystery has been solved:

Comic Con 2015 tickets go on sale in TWO months, people! Hear that, Huff the Hubs? TWO. MONTHS. I think I need to start getting my cosplay outfits ready. Starting with this a-dork-able hoodie from Think Geek!

"Hey, puddin'!"

“Hey, puddin’!”

Isn’t it awesome?! I must has the precious!

Whenever I’m asked what my spirit animal is, its an easy answer: Grumpy Cat. I freaking love that feline! Even though she hates everything, I adore her (yeah, GC is totes a girl!). Which is why I am extremely excited that Lifetime is doing a movie about the kitty this winter. And the voice of the angsty cat? None other than Parks and Rec star, Aubrey Plaza! Isn’t that perfect?!

We hate all the same things.

We hate all the same things.

Do you realize that there are only 96 days until Christmas?! Let that sink in. And, if you’re like me, you know about half a dozen little girls who desperately want Frozen toys. If you’ve been to Target or Wal-Mart lately, you may have noticed that finding anything with Anna, Elsa, or Olaf’s face on it is like searching for a needle in a haystack.

frozen toys

But, according to The Huffington Post, Disney manufacturers WILL be able to provide dolls, action figures, and dress up outfits for your Frozen fan this holiday season! Disney claims they learned their lesson after what happened with The Little Mermaid. Evidently, “researchers” thought that little girls wouldn’t want to play with dolls with red hair (idiots) so they ordered basically ZERO dolls and/or memorabilia! They lost out on a ton of cashola and kids all over were forced to pretend to be Ariel in their bathtubs because there were zilch dolls!

All this talk about shopping and Christmas is getting me amped up for Black Friday! Maybe I should go look at my Black Friday prediction sites…

Happy Friday, peeps!

Summer is in full swing with the sweltering heat and scorching sun burning everyone to a Tan Mom crisp.

Summer also means San Diego Comic Con! Woo! And guess who’s making his first SDCC appearance? Its Baker Street’s sexiest sleuth!

ben

Yes! Benedict Cumberbatch will join the rest of The Penguins of Madagascar cast! Friday’s schedule for Comic Con has also been released! It jam-packed with all our favorite fandoms! There’s a Game of Thrones panel as well as The Walking Dead and Daniel Radcliffe will be appearing at SDCC for the first time promoting Horns!

I haven’t heard, but I’m willing to bet that there will be a Mockingjay: Part One panel too! And speaking of the people of Panem, check out this amazing new teaser trailer for the next film in The Hunger Games saga!

Not only does summer mean heat and conventions, it also means wedding season is here! My mailbox is getting flooded with invites! I’m hoping that some of the nuptuals I’m invited to have rings as awesome as these:

Happy Friday, Earthlings!

This morning I was woken up by the Great God of Thunder, Thor himself. My windows were rattling and rain pounded against the apartment. This was all at 4:30 a..m. I’m assuming the hammer-wielding son of Odon was just passing through, but I was unable to go back to bed. I contemplated not doing a blog today but I know millions dozens of you would be heartbroken if I didn’t post. So, here I am!

Is anyone else on Sherlock countdown?! I. CANNOT. WAIT for season 3! Rumor is, the show will debut first this fall in the UK and probably January-ish 2014 for us in ‘Merica. To satiate your need for all things Benedict Cumberbatch/Holmes, check out this awesome video of BC reading a little of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s awsomeness:

We have SO many movies/TV shows to look forward to this fall and winter! Including the next Hobbit movie! If you just can’t wait and need to have your fill of something Hobbit-related {whilst improving your spelling abilities} check out this bad boy from Think Geek!

Scrabble, Shire-style.

Scrabble, Shire-style.

It also comes with “adventure cards” to shake up the game play! Its like Catan meets Scrabble!

If you know me/have spent five minutes around me, you know I hate noise. Some say I’m just a crabby patty, others say I suffer from Misophonia. I say I just don’t have the patience to deal with your loud voice/annoying noise-related quirks. Evidently I’m in a world of hurt when the baby gets here. (Did you know they cry? Like, all the time?!) So when I saw this pacifier from TG, I rejoiced! I think I may get one for Hermione. I wonder if it really works…..?

Just don't turn it to 11.

Just don’t turn it to 11.

And speaking of my soon-to-arrive-spawn… Sigh. It seems a day can’t go by without people getting all judgy/having something to say about the fact that we’re naming our daughter Hermione or that we’re doing her nursery in Star WarsThe reaction I hate the most is: “Star Wars? For a girl?” Bah. That makes me want to choke them with The Force and drop them on Hoth for a wampa to deal with. But this week, while perusing Pinterest, I found this awesome video. Which, made me even more proud of the decisions Huff the Hubs and I are making in regards to our little one, but it also made me tear up a little. My favorite quote? “Don’t tell my daughters that Legos, robots, and superheroes are just for boys.”
