Tomorrow is the first day of October and fall is in full swing, peeps! And you know what that means: pumpkin flavored novelties are EVERYWHERE! Including my favorite cookies: Oreo.
You know my love for the O-R-E-O is deep. Whenever there is a new flavor, I HAVE to try it. Enter: today’s Try It. And–surprise!–its a twofer!
I LOVE caramel apples. There’s an AWESOME candy shop that has the most amazing caramel apples. However, those things are loaded with crazy amounts of calories and sugar. So when I saw these at Wally World, I was amped up!
This flavor was pretty good! It was a tad on the “too sweet” side, but I still liked it! My sister, however, took one bite and spit it out. She said it tasted like a Jolly Rancher.
This next one was AH-MAY-ZING!
This flavor was basically like biting into fall, if fall were a cream-filled cookie. A word of caution, though: I drank a glass of milk with this one and it totally ruined the flavor. But, then I tried it with a cup of coffee and it was the PERFECT pairing!
Oreo, you’ve done it again my friend.
Sorry there was no post yesterday. Between twisting my ankle going down the stairs before work, seeing the tragedy in Boston, and coming home to a migraine-suffering husband, I was in no mood to blog.
However, today’s “Try It” is absolutely what the doctor ordered. And when I say doctor, I mean me!
There’s a yummy treat floating around the Pinterest-sphere and I’ve been wanting to taste it. So, me, Mom, and BB tried it out!
Here’s what you need:
First step: spray a little Pam in the muffin tin and press the cookie dough in the tin:
Next, drop Oreos in the tin:
Then, pour in the brownie batter:
Put the tin in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 18-20 minutes. Then, you’ll have this:
Guys. This “Try It” was a total success. I’m talking unicorns and rainbows with dancing ponies success! The tastiest thing I’ve tried since starting this blog!
Hello fellow Tryers!
Today’s post is, thank goodness, edible! *Mini wave*
Lately I’ve been craving cookies: Oreos, chocolate chip, Snickerdoodle; you name it, this preggo wants it. So when I saw this on Pinterest, I squealed with glee:
I gathered my ingredients (which, thankfully, I had on hand! High five for a well-stocked pantry!)
I followed the instructions and mixed up the batter in a small, single-serve casserole dish (I forgot to take a pic! Oops!).
Then I popped it in a microwave for about 55 seconds. Let me tell ya, it was hard to not just eat the batter. But, preggos can’t eat anything made with raw eggs because it could contain listeria. Did you know that? Me either!
less than a minute later I had this:
It was pretty good. It satisfied my “sweet tooth” craving, but, to be honest; if I could choose between this and some chocolate chip cookies….I’m taking the cookies. it was a little crumbly and I wasn’t really expecting that. It was still a pretty good dessert though!
