Happy Friday, nerdlings! Anyone nursing wounds from the fiasco that was Build-A-Bear Pay Your Age Day?! I went out yesterday and it was IN-FREAKING-SANE. And no, we didn’t get a bear. But we did eat cheesecake after we left the mall, so, who’s the real winner here? To take your minds off of not snagging an amazing deal on the furry friends, I’ve rounded up some awesomely geek-tastic news and merch sure to fill the bear-shaped hole in your heart!

The Huffmans will be making the trek out to the House of Mouse in Florida this fall and I think Huff the Tot and I need a pair of these magically magnificent shoes!

Cinderella-Toms-Disney-Collection-750x1125

Shoemaker TOMs has partnered up  with Disney to create a new line of princess-inspired flats for women and kids! The shoes feet-ure (hey oh!) original sketches from the archives at Disney studios! Cinderella, Aurora, and Snow White will all have their own lines, each releasing this summer! SQUEE!

A few weeks ago, I told you about how Lego is releasing a series of Harry Potter minifigs. But what I didn’t tell you was the Lego is also releasing new HP sets as well! They’re all amazing and I want each one!

I mean, the Whomping Willow set?! YES, PLEASE! For more info, click here!

I absolutely love Lord of the Rings and anything Tolkien-related, so when I heard that Middle Earth was coming back to the small screen, I couldn’t contain my excitement!

According to Variety, the new series will take place before the events of The Fellowship of the Ring, and mostly center around a young Aragorn! Amazon is set to stream the multi-season show and will be working alongside The Tolkien Trust to ensure the show is up to par!

I seriously feel like one of the most underrated Disney movies is The Emperor’s New Groove. The spoiled Kuzko getting turned into a llama and voiced by David Spade? Come on, people! Its comedy gold! Which is why I am loving this new throw blanket from Hot Topic:

The tapestry-inspired blanket includes pictures of llama Kuzko, kitten Yzma, and the adorable little squirrel friend of Kronk! Just be sure to put your name on it or write “No Touchy!” on the back!

Happy Friday, folks! Today, I’ve rounded up some of the newest trailers for upcoming movies I’m super excited about! Let’s dive right in, shall we?

This Christmas, things are getting a little more magical with a new imaging of the Disney classic, Mary Poppins!

We’ll see if Emily Blunt can fill Julie Andrews beautifully tailored boots!

Next up, we’ve got another Star Wars flick to look forward to! This time, we’re going to get the inside scoop on the history of everyone’s scruffy-looking nerf herder!

Every wonder why The Grinch hated Christmas so much? Well, this November we’re going to finally find out! Voiced by Sherlock, er, I mean Benedict Cumberbatch, The Grinch is in theaters this year just in time for the holidays!

Everyone’s favorite super hero family is back this June in the much-anticipated sequel, The Incredibles 2!

Which movie are you most excited about? Share in the comments below!

Its the weekend, y’all and we about to get craaaaaazy up in here! And by “crazy” I mean change into some jammie pants, eat some pizza, and go to bed early! Woot, woot! Not “crazy” enough for ya? No worries, I’ve got some geeky goodies for you to peruse while you throw back a few slices of pepperoni!

Star light, star bright, the only star I see tonight is YOU rocking this hooded cardigan from Think Geek!

jkpg_constellations_draped_ladies_cardigan

This snuggly sweater features dozens of constellations you see every night! Look chic while feeling geek…y. (That *almost* rhymed.)

Last week I featured some lovely Jane Austen-inspired stationery. Some of you may not be feeling the “Pride and Prejudice” vibe and need something that speaks to your soul a little bit more. This is for you!

klug_d_villains_stationery

This set includes a black ink pen, complete with Maleficent, sticky flags, journal, and glittery pencil case! Everything a villain needs to correspond with her fellow witches.

Thanksgiving is next week and you know what that means: a bunch of family coming to your house to talk about politics and judge your housekeeping skills. Be sure to keep tabs on who is drinking what with these snarky but oh-so-relatable drink markers from Perpetual Kid!

Not entirely sure which one would adorn my cup. Because, let’s face it, they could all work.

Let’s face it, mornings are hard. And not just the waking up part, but turning on the news to see what is going on in the world is such a bad way to start the day. Why not put a little sunshine in your morning, neighbor, with this Mr. Rogers coffee mug from ModCloth:

This mug is covered in several quotes from the sweet, sweater-wearing man to inspire you! There’s also a picture of him smiling up at you to calm your worries and send you off with good feelings!

Happy Stranger Things Season Two Day! I mean, Happy Friday! I’ve got all kinds of geeky goodies and gossip to share with you so let’s jump right in!

Being a SAHM has its perks: you can wear jammies all day, dinosaur nuggets are a legitimate meal for an adult, and you get to some awesome children’s television. I love Sesame Street–Muppets are my jam and even though Elmo can be a tad annoying at times, they teach some great life lessons. The also do some HILARIOUS parodies! Like this week when they took on The Walking Dead!

I love that the characters names were “Sheriff Graham”, “Macaroon”, and “Dough Roll”!

Growing up, I had some pretty rad costumes. I’ll never forget when I dressed up as a Hershey’s Kiss (shout out to my dad for making a kick-a costume!) and I totally won the costume contest! But even I have to admit that when it comes to Halloween costumes, 8-year-old Anthony Alfano from Illinois would totally win first place!

Anthony has cerebral palsy and is wheelchair-bound but that doesn’t stop his parents from letting him totally rock Halloween! Just take a look at his costumes!

Last week I showed you a beautiful new line of Disney princess-inspired wedding dresses, and the Disney couture is growing! There is a new Disney-inspired line that has hit the runways and will soon be available to folks like us! These are my favorites:

A Snow White/Evil Queen-inspired frock:

And a gown even Elsa would envy:

One of my favorite movies is The Wizard of Oz. Not only for its nostalgia and amazing story, but also for its AWESOME songs! So when I saw a high school dance team put on a WoO-inspired dance at their pep rally, I was so jazzed! Just watch!

Happy Friday, geeklings! We are only eleven days away from Halloween and one week away from the season two premiere of Stranger Things! Are you excited?! I AM! I’m also jazzed because I’ve found some nerdy nifties to get your weekend started off right!

Speaking of our favorite friends from Hawkins, Indiana, check out these a-DORK-able VYNL figures from Think Geek!

Last week, I featured all things Star Wars: The Last Jedi. I can’t believe I left out this awesome Rey dress from Hot Topic!

10895985_hi

Cute as a cosplay or just for meeting your friends for an evening at Toshi Station!

I don’t really carry purses because I basically pack everything I own whenever I go places because, kids. BUT, if I did carry one, it would most definitely be this Flounder cross-body bag!

klhn_little_mermaid_flounder_purse

Room for your keys, wallet, and travel dinglehopper!

And, while we’re semi on the subject of Disney, check out these beautiful Disney princess-inspired wedding dresses from the House of Mouse and designer Kuraudia Co.!

disney-princess-dresses-970

According to the designer’s site, the “…fourteen designs featuring six princesses include Belle from “Beauty and the Beast,” Ariel from “The Little Mermaid,” “Snow White,” Rapunzel from “Tangled,” Aurora from “Sleeping Beauty” and, of course, “Cinderella”. To ensure these fairy-tale weddings have a happy ending, a selection of tuxedos inspired by six Disney movies are also available for the ‘princes’…” The best part? These dresses are actually licensed through Disney! Oh yes, that means these are LEGIT princess dresses! Click here to see more!
