Hey y’all! Are you looking for a yummy breakfast to start off your fall days right? I’ve got ya covered! The other day while grocery shopping, I spotted these yummy things at Walmart:

Not only are these things super easy to make, they are DELISH! And–bonus!–they’ll make your house smell like pumpkin spice!

The *only* bad thing about these tasty rolls is…each one has THREE. HUNDRED. CALORIES.

Yeah. I was only able to have one. Because, calorie counting. But they are sooooo good! Have you tried these? What were your thoughts? Share in the comments below!

It is now the season of pumpkin errything so I decided to do a Try It I actually saw on Facebook!

Here’s what you need:

IMG_6522

1 tube crescent rolls

1 c. canned pumpkin puree

3 oz. cream cheese, softened to room temperature

1 egg

2/3 c. sugar, divided

3 tsp. pumpkin pie spice, divided (not pictured; Imma tell you why in a minute)

1 tsp. vanilla extract

pinch of kosher salt

2 tbsp. melted butter

1/2 c. powdered sugar

1 tbsp. milk

First, preheat your oven to 375 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a hand mixer, mix pumpkin, cream cheese, egg, 1/3 c sugar, 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice and vanilla in a large bowl. Mix until the mixture is smooth and then add a pinch of salt. (Note: I didn’t have any pumpkin pie spice, so I made my own! It wasn’t that difficult, actually!)

Unroll the crescent rolls and pinch the perforations together to make a solid sheet. (I later saw that Pillsbury actually sells crescent sheets… really would’ve made this easier had I known about that!) Then, cut the crescents into 8 squares.

IMG_6525

Scoop a rounded tablespoon of the pumpkin mixture onto each square. Then, pinch up the corners together to create a ball.

IMG_6526

In a small bowl, combine the sugar with 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice. Brush the pumpkin balls with melted butter and roll them in the sugar mixture.

Place the balls on your parchment paper-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each one. Bake about 10-15 minutes. While the balls are baking, it’s time to make the glaze! In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar and milk until smooth, adding more powdered sugar or milk until the desired consistency is reached. You can drizzle the glaze on or use it as a dip!

First, let me say that I am NOT a pumpkin pie person. Like, at all. But these were really good! I think they’d be great for a fall brunch or even dessert at Thanksgiving! My only complaint was that I had a TON of leftover pumpkin mixture. I probably could’ve made 16 more pie bombs. For reals. So if you make these, be sure to buy extra crescents–you’ll need them!

Mommy Monday

I love fall–or, as I like to call it, “No Leg Shavin’ Season”! I love the crisp weather, the festive food, and yes, even the cool crafts and activities to do with my Littles. Though, I won’t lie, sometimes the cooler weather also makes me want to do nothing at all. Which is why I’ve found some great fall activities for the “Perfect Pinterest Mom” and the “Loves to Lounge Mom”.

PPMs are all about cutesy crafts and activities for their brood. Like these:

And now for activities for the LtLM–the momma who just needs a break, even if its just five minutes of peace to go to the bathroom.

“Scarecrow”

For some reason, every time Huff the Tot sees a bird she says, “Shoo! Get away bird! Shoo!” That’s how I came up with this game–all you have to do is send the kids outside to scare the birds! Then, close the door and binge-watch Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.

Flu Season

Lay on couch while kids bring you snacks and beverages. If they aren’t into it, offer stickers for the best “doctor”.

Rake the Leaves

This works especially well for kids who like to dump out their Legos all over the floor and then refuse to clean them up, causing you to step on them (also see: worst pain ever). When the Legos make you want to hide wine in your coffee mug and retreat to the bathroom, tell the kids to grab a broom, shovel, whatever–and “rake the leaves”. Bonus points if you can get them to rake the actual leaves!

Hey everyone! I’ve got a Try It Twofer today, so get ready! Here we go!

Y’all know I’m obsessed with Oreos and all the fun flavors they come out with. This weekend I tried these:

IMG_5714IMG_5715

Y’all, these were DELISH! They seriously tasted like a mini apple pie! I think these may be my favorite non-chocolate Oreos EVER!

Whenever Chobani comes out with a new flavor of their flips line, I’ve just gotta try it! I actually went a little crazy last time I was at Target and bought 6 different flavors! What? They were new. I HAD to try them all! Anyway, the one I tried today was carrot cake.

I won’t lie, when I first opened the package, I had a little bit of buyer’s remorse. The yogurt did NOT look appealing at all. It was just a weird color and had chunks of carrot in it.

BUT, after I mixed in the toppings and took a whiff of that yummy cinnamon smell, I was eager to take a bite! This flavor did NOT disappoint! It was super yummy AND filling!

Fan Girl Friday!

Fan Girl Friday New Background3

Happy Friday, fangirls and boys! Even though its been a busy week, I have found some nerdy nifties to make your weekend be filled with geeky joy!

I’m sure most of you are ECSTATIC that it is finally #PSLseason and that means pumpkin flavored errythang! This year, though, its not just pumpkin that’s making the rounds, but butterscotch as well! M&M’s will be debuting their butterscotch-flavored candies very soon and–good news!–sources say they taste JUST. LIKE. BUTTERBEER!

So even if you can’t get away to Harry Potter World, bust open a bag of these, pop in HP #1 in the DVD player, and don those robes! It’ll be like you’re back at Hogwarts!

When I was a kid, I thought I was a bad-a clothing designer because I was a Fashion Plates pro! Now, thanks to an awesome company called Picture This, kids can wear their actual drawings/designs!

57c48f51170000a014c763f1

Picture This was founded by a mother who created a dress designed by her daughter. Her little one loved the dress and lit up when she told people, “I’m wearing my imagination!” Now kids everyone can do the same!

This year, Star Trek is celebrating their 50th anniversary! There’s a lot of limited-edition gear coming out, but I think my favorite is from RockLove Jewelry! Just check out this GORGEOUS Starfleet ring!

starfleet-ring

Not only do they have awesome jewelry for Trekkers, but they TONS of fandoms to choose from!

And speaking of a-DORK-able jewelry, I’ve found an awesome new Etsy shop full of accessories for fangirls! PeachesandPebbles Shop has a great selection, including hard-to-find fandoms like Totoro!

SO. FREAKING. CUTE!

Try It Tuesday

Try It Cooking Badge 3

I’m *this close* to finishing my play kitchen revamp! I just need a few more tweaks and I’ll be done! But I couldn’t let a Tuesday go by without trying something for y’all!

Tomorrow is the first official day of fall. So you know what that means…

Try It Pumpkin Game of Thrones

That’s right, Ned. Its coming.

Today’s first Try It is Fiber One PUMPKIN SPICE Brownies!

Try It Fiber One

All new from FO, this brownie promises lots of fiber and big, punkin’ taste! And boy did it deliver (on both counts, ha!). I really liked this! When I was trying to lose weight (back in 2006, I put on 35 pounds! Eeek!) I would heat up a Fiber One Brownie and dollop some Cool Whip Light on top for dessert! It was filling and tasty! I may do the same with these! Definitely buying them again!

The next product was actually suggested by my mom. We saw them at the store while shopping for stuff for the new house (pics to come when the casa isn’t in shambles from moving). They were near the register and said “NEW!”, so Mom had to get them.

Try It Chex Chips

They’re Chex Chips! I loooooove Chex Mix, so I was excited to try them out….until I ate one. The jalapeno has quite a kick to it and the texture just feels…wrong. I don’t know how to explain it. Needless to say, I’ll be walking straight past them next time I’m at Wally World.

Try It Tuesday

There’s been a nip in the air the past several days which means it’s finally time for mugs full of warm, cozy drinks to make our descent into fall and winter a little less chilly.
