Fan Girl Friday!

Fan Girl Friday Marvel

Hey y’all! Its been a while since I’ve done an FGF, so I figured I’d make it a good one so you wouldn’t be *too* upset that you’ve missed out on so much nerdy awesomeness!

Get your passports and dress robes, people because I just heard that there is going to be a Harry Potter-themed cruise coming to England this year! *Cue the fangirl screams*

Barge Lady Cruises will be hosting a six-day trip down the River Thames making magical stops at locations used in or as inspiration for the Potter films! There’s even a stop at the home used as “4 Privet Drive”! *Packs bag, grabs wand, and waits for an owl to arrive with instructions on how to use the floo network to get to London*

And speaking of the spectacle-wearing boy wonder, check out these Hogwarts-inspired clutches from Think Geek!

The uniform-themed bags come in Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw colors!

With Valentine’s Day coming up, I’m sure many of you fellas out there are trying to think of that perfect gift for your gal. Let me give you some advice: flowers are lame. They only stick around for a while and then they die. You know what doesn’t fade? The absolute A-DORK-ABLE-NESS of this Star Wars plushie bouquet!

I mean, for reals, just LOOK at that Porg! And if a galaxy far, far away isn’t your lady’s “thing”, there’s many more to choose from including microbes, books,  and science-themed!

Sometimes its hard to start the day off in a good mood. Its tough getting out of bed on these cold, winter mornings. Make waking up easier with this unicorn pancake mold from Perpetual Kid!

Breakfast: the most important–and magical–meal of the day!

As I mentioned, V-Day is coming up FAST. And whether you give this as a gift for someone special or gift it to yourself, there’s going to be one happy chocolate-lover come February 14th!

This 36-piece chocolate gift set comes with a variety of chocolate infusions including: Baconluxious, Totally Tangy Mango, Orange-A-Go-Go, and Strawberry Waffle Wild! I may just have to buy one of these for myself!

Happy Friday, geeklings! There’s a lot of geeky goodies and news floating around the interwebs and I’ve got them for you all in one place!

Remember when Pokemon Go first launched and people lost their freakin’ minds? Well get ready, Potterheads because its OUR TIME!

Sometime this year, game developers Jam City will be releasing a story-driven mobile game (much like PG!) in which you can create an avatar and walk through the halls of Hogwarts! You can attend classes, duel, and much more! For more info, check out or the game’s website!

Y’all, here in Oklahoma, its colder than Hoth out. Which means I need some serious winter weather gear. Thankfully, Columbia has just come out with an awesome line of winter wear inspired by The Empire Strikes Back!

Speaking of Star Wars outerwear, check out this geek-chic blazer inspired by Jakku’s resident BAMF, Rey!

Seriously, though. How amazing would you looking walking into a budget meeting rocking this?!

Anyone else pining away for the days of Nick Jr. and neon slap bracelets? Think Geek has our backs! Keep the nostalgic memories flowing with these a-DORK-able Fraggle Funko Pop figures!

Bonus–each Fraggle comes with a mini Doozer! Squeeeee!

Star Wars FGF Banner

Happy Friday, padawans! Have you seen the The Last Jedi trailer that dropped this week?! NO?!  Don’t worry, I got chu.

*Cue the feels/goosebumps like crazy*

To celebrate the release of this new trailer (and the fact that Last Jedi tickets are already on sale–totes got mine!) every nerdy nifty on today’s FGF is Star Wars-related! Woot, woot!

I know its getting chilly out, but seriously, I think I need this workout tank from Etsy shop Everyday Unicorns:

Yasssss, queen! I mean, Yasssss, general!

I’m not trying to get all political up in here, but why do I feel like Kylo would totally be sporting this hilarious tee at a Storm Trooper hiring day rally?

image-tsswmtega-1-productimagenowatermark“We’re gonna rebuild the Death Star and we’re gonna make the rebels pay for it!”

Anyone else notice the ADORABLE little feathered/furry creature next to Chewie in the trailer? Apparently, that little thing is a Porg (or maybe Porg is its name, I’m not entirely sure…) and it is cute AF! I have a feeling that little guy is going to be to Star Wars 8 what the niffler was to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them! Don’t believe me? Check out this “Awwww!”-inducing Porg Funko Bobble Head!

While you’re buying popcorn at the theater waiting for TLJ to start, show your fandom side with this awesome Tauntaun coin purse!

I’m not 100% sure, but I’m fairly certain this one does NOT have a foul odor (inside or out)!

Happy fangirling!

Fan Girl Friday!

Happy First Day of September, AKA “Return to Hogwarts” Day! And seeing as how Platform 9 3/4 will be bustling with little witches and wizards getting ready to go back to school–as I’m sure your little geeklings have already–today’s FGF is all about back to school gear!

I feel like we have a TON of Tupperware in our house. So this microwaveable bento lunch box was practically made for us! PLUS, it features Totoro!

This airtight container can be used in the microwave AND its dishwasher safe! Plus, its adorable! Get it here!

Got a gamer in your brood who would rather battle the boss than keep track of their homework? Etsy shop StalkingMarla has what you need!

These recycled game planners are amazing! Not only are they high-quality, but they’re eco-friendly AND features any game of your choice!

Got books on the brain? Let your bibliophile flag fly with these tee from ThinkGeek!

The shirts range from Small to 3X, so TG has you covered!

Need a way to calculate how many blocks it will take to build that Lego Death Star? I got chu. Or, should I say, Perpetual Kid’s got chu.

PK’s Lego-inspired calculators come in four awesome colors–red, blue, green, and black!

Now that you’re all stocked for the new school year, you need something to carry all your geeky swag! And ThinkGeek has the mother (of dragons) of all backpacks for you!

According to the TG site: “…no dragons were harmed in the making of this backpack”–bonus! (insert laughing til you cry emoji here)

Happy long weekend and happy fangirling!

Fan Girl Friday!

Happy Friday, fangirls (and boys)! Since school is starting soon–and the weather will be changing with it–I thought I’d focus on fandoms finds for those fashinista fangirls out there! Luckily, ThinkGeek has teamed up with Her Universe and created a new line of Star Wars-inspired clothes for the chic, girlie geek! And–bonus!–they come in sizes XS-2X!

Just check out these A-DORK-ABLE pieces!

I LURVE this Star Wars emblem flowy tank!

Here’s the fabric up close:

These Vader leggings?! YES, please!

What about this ca-yuuute  blouse featuring ships from the films?!

I’ll take one of these R2D2 tunics as well:

Annnnndddd, the droid dress!

You can check out more of the line here!

Happy Friday, everyone! If you’re as sad as I am to not be at San Diego Comic Con, turn that frown upside down! Just because we aren’t there doesn’t mean we can’t have all the scoop! I’ve got trailers, clips, and news to make you a little happier you’re not dealing with the “wet-wipe-bathing” crowds at SDCC!

Y’all, I was NEVER into anime or Japanese movies before I met Huff the Hubs. Now? He’s made a believer out of me! One of my FAVORITE Japanese films, Death Note, is coming to Netflix and I am SUPER excited! Check out the exclusive con clip!

One of my favorite cartoons as a kid was Rocko’s Modern Life and I am feeling all kinds of nostalgic because its being rebooted! And the trailer is FINALLY here!

And, of course, we can’t forget everyone’s favorite zombie hunters! The cast of The Walking Dead throws all kinds of crazy in SDCC’s trailer for the AMC show!

Technically, this last trailer debuted about a week ago at D23, but I am so freaking excited I HAVE to share with you! This is the first “teaser” (if you want to call it that; it has clips from the first film, not the sequel) of The Incredibles 2 which is set to premiere next June! SQUEEEE!

Happy fangirling!

Her’s Day Thursday

Hers Day Thursday Girl

With Comic Con kicking off in San Diego yesterday, I thought it would be fun to talk about some of my favorite female characters from the various fandoms I love! And let me tell ya, not all women in geekdom are leather-clad eye candy.

Hermione Granger

Hermione Granger

This book-loving Muggle-born will forever be my favorite character from the Harry Potter universe. Hermione was always the one to tell Harry, Ron, and everyone else to rise above the foolishness that Draco and his cronies were always spouting. She used her brain (and brawn when necessary) and founded S.P.E.W. (The Society for the Promotion of Elvish Welfare). Hermione is a fierce female and I’m proud my kid is named after her!

Donna Noble

Nobody–not even Donna herself–thought she was anything special. But, as it turns out, Donna was “the most important woman in the whole wide universe”. After just one trip with the Doctor, Donna was forever changed. She knew something was amiss with the Adipose company and took matters into her own hands, investigating and eventually teaming up with her favorite Gallifrean! Donna traveled the universe and kicked butt during all of her adventures and also fought for the rights of others!

Katniss Everdeen

Aside from the whole “dangerously-close-to-TwilightI-level-love-traingle”, Katniss is a total BAMF. True, homegirl probably needed some therapy after all of the tragedies she’s endured in her young life, but its not like Panem had healthcare. Anyway, she worked hard to provide for her family after the death of her father, fought bravely in the Arena (TWICE), and basically rescued all of Panem from the hands of yet another dictator. The Mockingjay lives, y’all!

Kaylee Frye

Kaylee is not only a sweet, cheerful, down-home girl, but she can fix basically anything with an engine faster than you can say: “No power in the ‘verse can stop me.” Kaylee loves her shipmates on Serenity so genuinely and fiercely loyal to her captain and beloved ship.
