Happy Friday, y’all! It seems like an eternity since I’ve done a Fan Girl Friday and I am soooooo excited about it! Let’s dive right in!

Some days, adulting is hard. Whether you’re a stay-at-home-momma that needs a little something to take the edge off or an up-and-comer at your company, we could all use a little pick-me-up at the end of a long day. And what better way to knock one back than in this trophy wine glass!

Sure its not one of the participation awards that so many have gotten in the past, but it will still give you that sense of accomplishment when you’re sipping chardonnay!

Ever since seeing Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, I have been OBSESSED with the adorable little creature that Newt carries around with him–a niffler! Now I can wear the cutie-patootie around my neck!

This precious necklace is made by Aisha Voya Creations! She’s got other accessories on her website including a variety of Harry Potter-inspired lapel pins and awesome dragon hair clips!

If you’ve ever dreamed of being like Ms. Frizzle with her wonderfully wacky outfits, I’ve got just the thing for you! Check out this a-DORK-able glow-in-the-dark constellation dress from Think Geek!

I guarantee if you wear this to your next night on the town, you will definitely be the brightest star of the bunch! Hey-oh!

My family and I proudly proclaim that we speak fluently in movie quotes. I feel like this next game was made for folks like us! Meet Schmovie, your favorite new board game!

jqjq_schmovie_game_of_madeup_movies

According to the website, the object of Schmovie is: “…trying to convince the other players that your title is the best of the bunch for whatever concept is being pitched to the producer(s). We’re not asking for a full script here – just a working title. Bad puns are highly encouraged! Each round you’ll roll the genre dice (sci-fi, rom-com, horror, action, drama, and producer’s choice), and then draw two premise cards – one ‘What?’ and one ‘Who?’ The combination of those cards give you the movie you’re trying to pitch. If your movie gets the greenlight then you’ll win a shquid trophy. Win enough trophies and you win the game. Easy, right?”

Happy Friday peeps! Sorry its been a while since you’ve been able to feast your eyes upon some nerdy nifties–things have been a wee bit crazy ’round here. But, no need to fear! I’m going to get your weekend started off in a magical way!

This weekend, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (or, to some people: Harry Potter 9) opens in theaters! And yes, I bought my tickets weeks ago and I am SO excited! To celebrate another film that will bring JK Rowling’s wizarding world to life, every geeky goody featured in today’s FGF is all about FBWTFT!

Y’all, Hot Topic has really grown from a store that carries oversized black Jnco’s to a haven of fandom gear! I love that they release their own line of clothes when there’s a major film debut and they did not skimp with the latest installment to the Potter-verse!

Just look at these Fantastic Beasts-inspired frocks! You’ve got Newt Scamander’s overcoat:

The Queenie Goldstein-inspired dress:

It even has the MACUSA symbol on it!

And, the Queenie coat!

There’s even a space for you to carry your wand!

After you see the movie, decorate your home with the lovely pages of this Fantastic Beasts coloring book!

This 80-page coloring book is full of magical creatures, famous wizards, and scenes from the film!

Percival Graves, I have learned, is the Director of the MACUSA and is always dressed to the nines. And now YOU can dress like the big wizard in charge thanks to Think Geek!

This polyester tie will make any man look more magical (and dapper!) along with a model of Percival’s signature accessory–a double scorpion tie tack!

Happy Friday, y’all!

Today has been a CRAZY day! Huff the Hubs got his wisdom teeth pulled this morning and I’ve been taking care of him while also scouring the internet for awesomely nerdy nifties for YOU! (I’ve also been researching how much it will cost us to move because I saw a mouse in our kitchen this morning and I do NOT want to live here anymore!)

Remember how awesome it was when Johnny Depp was the Madhatter in Alice in Wonderland? And how we all wished we could see him reprise his role? Well pine no longer, lovelies! Our wishes have come true! The sequel to Alice in WonderlandAlice Through The Looking Glass, is set to hit theaters next May! AND, its awesome trailer (complete with Alan Rickman voice over) is out!

And speaking of deep-voiced Brits, have y’all seen the  latest trailer for Sherlock‘s Christmas special?! NO?! Well, here it is!

Sidebar: When I see Holmes and Watson dressed like that, all I can think of is The Great Mouse Detective, ha ha!

Sadly, I don’t have a trailer for this last find, BUT I do have pictures and insider info! The latest film from the wizarding world of JK Rowling, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, officially has a logo AND a plot!

Fan Girl Friday Fantastic Beasts Eddie

The film, starring Eddie Redmayne, will be full of the magical world we all know and love, but with some twists. According to Entertainment Weekly:

“Eccentric magizoologist Newt Scamander comes to New York (for a reason we won’t disclose) with his trusty weathered case. This case is one of those way-way-way-bigger-on-the-inside magical devices, and within are expansive habitats for a collection of rare and endangered magical creatures from Newt’s travels around globe. He discovers the American wizarding community is fearfully hiding from Muggles (who are called “No-Maj” in the States) and the threat of public exposure is an even graver concern than in the UK (remember the Salem witch trials?). Fantastic Beasts is the story of what happens when this uniquely skilled English wizard travels to wiz-phobic America and a variety of his creatures, some quite dangerous … get out of their case.”

SQEEEEE!!!!! I. CANNOT. WAIT.
