Losing weight is tedious and not very fun. So I’ve been looking for healthier versions of my favorite indulgences because, let’s face it, if I can’t have chocolate I”ll be one depressed Momma. Thanks to Pinterest, I came across this:

I was instantly intrigued and decided to try it out!

Here’s what you need:

1/2 cup – peanut butter, natural

1 large – banana

1 teaspoon – vanilla extract

2 tablespoon – coconut oil

2 tablespoon – maple syrup, pure

1 tbsp – cocoa powder, unsweetened

First, stir up the peanut butter until its creamy and smooth. I warmed it up for about 10-15 seconds to make it a little easier.

Then, I put all of the ingredients into a blender and mixed until smooth. (I don’t have an actual blender–I had to make due with my smoothie maker. This was not easy and I do not recommend it!)

Once the mixture is a smooth cream, pour it into an 8×8 pan. The mixture doesn’t need to go all the way to the edge. Then, place it into the fridge or freezer and leave it there until firm. Cut into squares and enjoy! (Store the extras in the fridge.)

This was actually pretty good! It was just REALLY rich. But I will definitely be making this again!

Try It Wednesday

Hello all! Since my internet was acting crazier than Amanda Bynes on Monday, my blog posts had to be pushed back.

So today you’re getting a Try It!

OMG. When I saw this on Pinterest, my salivary glands went into overdrive. I love all things chocolate and peanut butter, as you well know, so I HAD to try it!

First, I gathered my ingredients:

That’s right! All you need is: chocolate chips, Reese’s peanut butter cups, and evaporated milk.

First, get a 9X9 pan (I had to use an 8X8 because that’s all I had). Line the pan with foil and spray it with cooking spray. Place the peanut butter cups on the bottom (I had to cut some in half to fit).

After that, crush up about 10-12 peanut butter cups to be used later.

Then, melt 3 cups chocolate chips and a 14oz can of evaporated milk until smooth.

Nom, nom, nom.

Pour the chocolate over the cups.

Then, sprinkle the crushed cups on top.

Eat all the fudge!

Let the fudge cool to room temperature, then put I the fridge. I did, and after an hour, it still looked the same. So I put it in the freezer to help it firm up (that’s what she said). After I was able to cut it up…It. Was. DELICIOUS. I’m TOTALLY doing this again!
