Fan Girl Friday!

Fan Girl Friday Marvel

Oh yeah, boyee! Its Friday! AND it’s Avengers: Infinity Wars day! That means that everything on today’s Fan Girl Friday is about everyone’s favorite group of superheroes!

Earlier this week, Jimmy Fallon dropped a hilarious video of the cast of Avengers singing and it was PURE. GOLD. Didn’t see it? Don’t worry, I got chu.

Loki at the end?! *swoon*

Need something to wear to the big premiere? Look no further than this minimalist Marvel button-up from ThinkGeek:

The shirt features Iron Man, Captain America, Hawkeye, Thor’s helmet, an arrow, Cap’s shield, Mjolnir, and a Marvel logo!

Don’t worry ladies, I’ve got awesome stuff for you too!

This Her Universe hoodie dress (yes, there’s a hood!) is at Hot Topic right now! The dress is a classic comic book print with Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, and resident BAMF–Black Widow!

You can also give yourself an Infinity Wars mani with this pack of Infinity Stone-inspired press-on nails!

When you have all the stones on your digits, try not to let the power go to your head, mmkay?

And finally, finish off any outfit with these Infinity Gauntlet stud earrings!

Just try not to blink the planet out of existence, alright? At least until I get to see Avengers!

Happy fangirling!

Fan Girl Friday

“Its the freakin’ weekend, baby I’ma ’bout to have me some fun….”

(Oh, skating rink memories…)

Happy Friday all! I’ve got some great finds to kick off your weekend!

Did you know that we are only 130 days until Christmas?! That’s four months people! Can’t wait that long to spread the Christmas cheer? No problem, Think Geek has you covered!

"Get me my screwdriver and my Plumber's Helper!"

“Get me my screwdriver and my Plumber’s Helper!”

You can feed all of your little piggies while humming Oh, Christmas Tree and daydreaming about your Christmas List… Just as long as there’s not a Red Ryder B.B. Gun on there. You’ll shoot your eye out!

Who here rallies around the House of Stark? No, not Game of Thrones. I’m talking Tony Stark. You know, billionaire, genius, playboy, philanthropist? Iron Man 3 is slated to hit shelves on September 24th! And lucky for us, Marvel has already released a deleted scene as well as a snippet of the gag reel:

Anyone else as excited as I am?!

How many of you Pinteresters have seen those little “Fun Fact” things on Pinterest? You know, those things that say something like, “Here’s the phone number for Hogwarts” or “Put this into Google and watch your screen”? Typically I don’t think they’re real, but the other day, I saw this:

Seriously like the beginning of an episode of Law and Order.

Seriously like the beginning of an episode of Law and Order.

My curiosity was piqued, so I decided to try it out. I typed in the numbers exactly how it is shown and then switched my view to satellite. Then, I zoomed in.

My train of thought went like this when I saw the picture:

Hmm… where is this supposed to—

Wait a second.

Is that BLOOD?!

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, that’s a trail of blood. That’s a trail of–

Yeah. I may not sleep tonight. Which is why I shared it with you. If I have to be disturbed, so do you!

And on that note… Happy Friday!

Try It Tuesday

While perusing Pinterest, I found some cool nail art:

The Silence...or Robert Downey Jr.'s alter-ego?

The Silence…or Robert Downey Jr.’s alter-ego?

This is supposed to be The Silence from Doctor Who. However, I thought it looked more like Iron Man, so I thought I’d try it and say they were Iron Man nails.

For this nail art project, I only needed two different colors: Rimmel 60 Second polish in Sunny Days and Red, Steady, Go.

First, I painted three coats of Sunny Days and then painted the red areas to Iron Man’s helmet.

I am Iron Man. Almost.

I am Iron Man. Almost.

Then, I used my dotting tool to make the eyes. I did the mouth part of on my thumb nail but I didn’t like the outcome (I don’t really like the outcome of any of them, truth be told.)

I guess that’s what happens when you try to do intricate work the day after you’ve been a little sickly. Oh well, there are many more try it Tuesdays to come!
