I Am Woman, Hear Me Roar!

If you frequent this fantabulous blog, you know that there is one day a week I dread.

Thursday, to me, is the equivalent of opening the fridge to find nothing to eat. In both situations, I panic and think, “What am I going to do?!”

I hardly ever have something to blog about on Thursdays because the rest of my weekdays are themed and basically write themselves. But, thanks to my desperate need for caffeine, I find myself wide awake while everyone else is the house is fast asleep. Because of this, I’ve been watching a lot of documentaries on Netflix. Last week, I watched a three-part mini series titled: Makers: Women Who Make America.

While I felt like some of my (and my family/friends’) life choices were coming under fire and some of my values being attacked, I was still inspired by the stories of these women. This got me thinking about just how far we’ve come–and still have to go–in society and culture. So I thought of a new blog theme:

Her’s Day Thursday!

Every Thursday I will highlight a woman–past, present; famous, not famous, or maybe even infamous–that has helped shape the world, her country, her community, or her family. I can’t wait to share the amazing women I’ve researched and I hope that their stories will encourage, inspire, and drive you to make a difference in someone’s life.

Get excited, people.
