Finding dinners that are easy, healthy, and that my kids will eat (so I’m not making TWO meals) is kind of difficult. So when I saw Good Table’s new Freezer to Plate meals, I was super excited!
After all, GT’s stuff has no preservatives, no artificial flavors, and no high fructose corn syrup. I’m totes down with that! Another part about this I really liked was the fact that I didn’t even have to thaw the chicken! I am notorious for forgetting to set out chicken to thaw. Then, dinner time rolls around and I’m like, “CRAP! The chicken is still frozen!” My excitement about this meal-in-a-box was growing.
It was pretty simple to prep. All I had to do was pour the noodles in, place the chicken on top (I actually remembered to thaw it–woo!), add a little water, and pour the sauce on top.
Then, I just popped it in the oven for 30-35 minutes and dinner was done!
It was…okay. I didn’t think it was very flavorful and the noodles were a tad on the chewy side. The kids ate some of it (mostly the noodles) but I wasn’t impressed.

I’m all about making my mornings easier. Especially on the days I work at the Mother’s Day Out program at my church. Because getting me and two ankle-biters ready for an entire day away from the house is basically like preparing for a weekend away. So, if I can make my breakfast easy (and healthy!) I feel like I’ve got my ish together. That’s why, while we were out shopping yesterday, I scored this:
Now, I’ve actually tried overnight oatmeal before. But I prepared it. And it wasn’t that great, to be honest. So I thought I’d try this out because all I had to do was remember to put milk in it and stick it in the fridge before bed. In the morning, breakfast was already done!
This was SO MUCH better than the one I made, y’all! Seriously–I’m probably going to make this my staple breakfast from now on (see ya, Jimmy Dean Delights!). It was delicious, super filling, AND–since I used almond milk–less than 300 calories! That’s the kind of breakfast I can get behind!
For weeks I had been searching for today’s Try It. I went to Walmart, Target, Crest, Homeland…every store I could think of, but nada.
Then, one day, I was picking up milk at Walmart and spotted it–the glorious concoction:
I was super excited to try this because, as you know, Reese’s are my jam! When I poured it in my mug and took a sniff, it seemed promising.
But, after I poured in my coffee, I was a wee bit disappointed. It was more chocolately than peanut-butter-chocolatey. And if I want chocolate on a mug, imma just make some Swiss Miss, know what I mean?

Hey everyone! I’ve got a Try It Twofer today, so get ready! Here we go!
Y’all know I’m obsessed with Oreos and all the fun flavors they come out with. This weekend I tried these:
Y’all, these were DELISH! They seriously tasted like a mini apple pie! I think these may be my favorite non-chocolate Oreos EVER!
Whenever Chobani comes out with a new flavor of their flips line, I’ve just gotta try it! I actually went a little crazy last time I was at Target and bought 6 different flavors! What? They were new. I HAD to try them all! Anyway, the one I tried today was carrot cake.
I won’t lie, when I first opened the package, I had a little bit of buyer’s remorse. The yogurt did NOT look appealing at all. It was just a weird color and had chunks of carrot in it.
BUT, after I mixed in the toppings and took a whiff of that yummy cinnamon smell, I was eager to take a bite! This flavor did NOT disappoint! It was super yummy AND filling!

Today, I’ve got THREE Try Its for you! Yes, you read that right, THREE! And they’re all beverages! Let’s get right to it, shall we?
I’m always looking for ways to get more veggies into my diet, but its tough. I tend to get very ambitious, buying a ton of veggies and then they end up going bad before I can enjoy them. So I was excited to see this at Target:
Four pounds of produce in every bottle?! Heck yes! I was sooooo pumped to try this! That is, until I poured it into a cup and took a whiff:
Umm… yeah. You know how it smells outside when you’ve just mowed your lawn and the grass is kind of wet? Yeah, that’s how this TASTED.
During the same shopping trip at Target that I got the liquefied lawn cuttings, I also grabbed these:
They’re new from Ocean Spray–a tasty concoction of non-alcoholic drinks! These were VERY yummy! You can either add in a little Sprite or Sprite Zero for some fizz or, if you want to add a little somethin’ somethin’, 1-2 ounces of Malibu coconut rum per cup of juice makes these drinks pop! I think my favorite was the Tropical Citrus Paradise! It made me miss Hawaii veerrrryyyy bad! You can get more recipes here!

Huff the Hubs has been doing this program called The Ketogenic Diet, so I’ve been trying to find ways to help him have low-carb dinners (homeboy is on his own at lunch) without putting more work on myself. One of our menu staples is spaghetti–its easy, its cheap, there are easy ways to make it healthy, and–BONUS–my kids will eat it (translation: I only have to cook ONE meal). But I needed to be able to make it low-carb for the hubs. I’ve used a spaghetti squash before but with two kids, its too much work. Thankfully, Target had my back! The kids and I were doing our weekly Target run and I spied this:
A veggie that’s already spiralized, organic, and it only takes 3-4 minutes to cook? YES, PLEASE!
All I did was toss the entire container into a skillet with a teensy bit of EVOO and a dash of salt and pepper and stirred every now and then for 3-4 minutes. BAM. Done.
I added a little to my whole wheat noodles because I was nervous about how it would taste…
It was really good! I actually liked it a bit better than the whole wheat noodles! And check out the nutrition facts:
You could eat the entire box of zucchini spirals and still eat three times FEWER calories than ONE serving of whole wheat noodles! Plus, you get all the health benefits from the zucchini!

Y’all know I’m all about the new products–ESPECIALLY when Oreo comes out with a new flavor of their classic cookies! Today I’ve got a two-for-one Try It with a healthy item and a not-so-healthy item!
First up, new Popped Salted Caramel Bites from Kind! I love this company’s snack bars, so when I saw this at the store, I was super excited to try it! These little bites are packed with whole grains: oats, buckwheat, millet, amaranth, quinoa, and popped sorghum as well as yummy popcorn, caramel, and sea salt!
At only 110 calories, this yummy treat is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Its salty, its sweet–its great! Two thumbs WAAAAYYYY up!
Up next, the newest flavor of Oreo: Dunkin Donuts Mocha middles Oreo!
Y’all. OH. EM. GEEEEEE! These things were SO tasty! Oreos are basically delicious no matter what flavor (except that whole watermelon phase–bleck!) I love coffee and coffee-flavored stuff, so I thought these were DELISH! I really want to try it swirled in a cup of cappuccino-flavored ice cream! Mmm….
