Happy Stranger Things Season Two Day! I mean, Happy Friday! I’ve got all kinds of geeky goodies and gossip to share with you so let’s jump right in!

Being a SAHM has its perks: you can wear jammies all day, dinosaur nuggets are a legitimate meal for an adult, and you get to some awesome children’s television. I love Sesame Street–Muppets are my jam and even though Elmo can be a tad annoying at times, they teach some great life lessons. The also do some HILARIOUS parodies! Like this week when they took on The Walking Dead!

I love that the characters names were “Sheriff Graham”, “Macaroon”, and “Dough Roll”!

Growing up, I had some pretty rad costumes. I’ll never forget when I dressed up as a Hershey’s Kiss (shout out to my dad for making a kick-a costume!) and I totally won the costume contest! But even I have to admit that when it comes to Halloween costumes, 8-year-old Anthony Alfano from Illinois would totally win first place!

Anthony has cerebral palsy and is wheelchair-bound but that doesn’t stop his parents from letting him totally rock Halloween! Just take a look at his costumes!

Last week I showed you a beautiful new line of Disney princess-inspired wedding dresses, and the Disney couture is growing! There is a new Disney-inspired line that has hit the runways and will soon be available to folks like us! These are my favorites:

A Snow White/Evil Queen-inspired frock:

And a gown even Elsa would envy:

One of my favorite movies is The Wizard of Oz. Not only for its nostalgia and amazing story, but also for its AWESOME songs! So when I saw a high school dance team put on a WoO-inspired dance at their pep rally, I was so jazzed! Just watch!

Happy Fangirling!

Happy Friday, everyone! If you’re as sad as I am to not be at San Diego Comic Con, turn that frown upside down! Just because we aren’t there doesn’t mean we can’t have all the scoop! I’ve got trailers, clips, and news to make you a little happier you’re not dealing with the “wet-wipe-bathing” crowds at SDCC!

Y’all, I was NEVER into anime or Japanese movies before I met Huff the Hubs. Now? He’s made a believer out of me! One of my FAVORITE Japanese films, Death Note, is coming to Netflix and I am SUPER excited! Check out the exclusive con clip!

One of my favorite cartoons as a kid was Rocko’s Modern Life and I am feeling all kinds of nostalgic because its being rebooted! And the trailer is FINALLY here!

And, of course, we can’t forget everyone’s favorite zombie hunters! The cast of The Walking Dead throws all kinds of crazy in SDCC’s trailer for the AMC show!

Technically, this last trailer debuted about a week ago at D23, but I am so freaking excited I HAVE to share with you! This is the first “teaser” (if you want to call it that; it has clips from the first film, not the sequel) of The Incredibles 2 which is set to premiere next June! SQUEEEE!

Happy fangirling!

It’s the last Friday in October, folks! That’s right, we’re one step closer to Halloween, which means one step closer to falling into a candy-induced coma! But, until then, I’ve got some delightfully dorky schtuff to make you smile!

I think we all need some therapy (or a stuff drink) to get us through all the emotions of Sunday night’s season premiere of The Walking Dead. Thankfully, Chris Hardwick from The Nerdist is here to make us smile with his tour of Universal Studio’s TWD attraction!

If I had to guess what The Tardis smelled like, I would absolutely think it was the scent of this next fabulous find!

Asha’s Homemade Candles sells this white tea and ginger Doctor Who candle, as well as other fandom-inspired candles! They include: The Hobbit, Star Trek, and even My Little Pony!

I hardly ever get to sit down and watch live TV, but thanks to the internet (and DVRs!) I don’t have to worry about missing awesome moments on television! Example? This awesome dance performed by the folks on Dancing With the Stars to none other but the theme to Outlander! Check it out!

If you were born between 1980 and 1985, I’m about to make your day. Are you sitting down? Good. MUPPET BABIES IS COMING BACK TO TV!!!

tumblr_mhb4j5yvtn1qlscwyo1_400

That was my reaction, too! According to sources, the CG-animated show will debut on Disney Junior in 2018!

I can’t wait to see how they handle the reboot! And I’m totally planning on making Huff the Tot and Huff the Babe as obsessed as I was! All I have to say is: y’all better keep the theme song the same.

Happy fangirling!

Get ready to squeal with delight, fanboys and fangirls! I’ve got movie, book, and fandom news GALORE! Let’s jump right in, shall we?

I belong to many fandoms. But the two that take up the most space in my heart are lightning bolt-shaped and Tardis-shaped. So when I read this article, my little HPWhovian soul could barely take it!

The spin-off to the beloved HP series, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them may have finally found their leading man in none other than the Eleventh Doctor, Matt Smith!

"Do I hear a Crumpled Horn Snorkack?!"

“Do I hear a Crumpled Horn Snorkack?!”

Yep, we could see the fezzed timelord as wizard naturalist Newt Scamander! Fingers crossed!

And speaking of the wizarding world, check out what a bunch of BYU students did over there spring break!

“Fill my goblet, put some fire in it!”

When I was growing up, Nickelodeon had some AWESOME shows: Rocko’s Modern Life, The Adventures of Pete and Pete, and of course, Clarissa Explains it All. I miss those shows. The line-up on Nickelodeon these days is–how do I saw this diplomatically?–crap. I feel so sad that I don’t know what happened to my favorite characters as they grew up because iCarly took their place.

clarissa

But, thanks to Clarissa creator, Mitchell Kriegman, I can dry my eyes. A new book chronicling the life of Clarissa Darling as she becomes a young adult is about to hit the shelves! The novel, titled Things I Can’t Explain, starts around Clarissa’s 20th birthday and, according to Kriegman, will have our heroine dealing with “new issues that are pretty unexplainable.” The book hits stores this November! EEEEEEEE!!!

The Walking Dead season finale is this Sunday! And, from the sound of it, I think we need to keep the hankies handy. The producers of the show have been hinting at “big losses” to the main cast for quite some time now. (*Spoiler Alert*!) Fans of the graphic novel know that our sweet Glenn met his demise not too long ago, and I’m afraid that we will be saying goodbye to Stephen Yeun this weekend.

On the bright side, the spin-off series to TWD finally has a title: Fear The Walking Dead. Not too original, but at least fans will know what to look for in the TV Guide!

Excited about any of the movie/TV news? Know any? Tell me in the comments below!

Iiiiits Friday! Start your happy dance and let the Diet Coke flow! I’ve got some fantabulous fangirl finds to make today even more like a party!

Even though Firefly is long gone (I know, try not to sob into the tassle’s of your Jayne replica knit hat) you can still live the renegade lifestyle ONLINE! Oh yes, that’s right, Firefly is coming to your PC AND smartphone! You can carry Serenity in your pocket!

firefly

Even though it won’t be available until early 2015, you can check out a sneak peek of the game by clocking the link here. What do you think? I think its SHINY.

I’m not going to lie, when Andrea from The Walking Dead was killed off, I was like, “Sheesh! FINALLY!” Needless to say, I was not the biggest fan of her character. I know I can’t be the only one. Anywhoo, Laurie Holden, the actress that played Andrea on the show, is MUCH more likeable in real life!

andrea the walking dead

Turns out Holden was an instrumental part in an undercover sex-trafficking bust down in Columbia. Holden is a human rights activist and works with a program called Operation Underground Railroad. The group, led by former CIA-agent Tim Ballard, works to free young girls sold into sex slavery. During the sting in Columbia, Holden and the group helped free fifty-five young women! Go Laurie! You can read the full story here.

I am SO incredibly ready for November: turkey, stuffing, and Mockingjay! I’ve been waiting for any new trailers to be released, so when I saw this one, I squealed like a little girl! Check it out!

Speaking of movies, look at what an incredibly talented teen did–using Lego and stop-motion–to capture some of the greatest moments in cult movie history, as well as classic movie posters:

Iiiiittttsssss Friday!

And you know what that means: two days off work, sleeping in, and a gaggle of geeky goodies to suit your fandom fancy!

Huff the Hubs and I have been on the hunt for a house for about six months now. And, even though we haven’t found “The One” yet, I’ve been finding all kinds of things to decorate our future house, like this adorable spice rack from Think Geek!

One of my new favorite geeky shopping sites is Perpetual Kid. They’ve got tons of nerdy novelties including this Monty Python-inspired watch:

Halloween is fast approaching—its only a month away! If you’re not up for making an entire costume on your own, check out this adorable Han Solo cosplay dress!

If you live in OKC/Moore area, you’ve probably heard about the zombie-apocalypse-inspired paintball The Orr Family Farm is having right now! Its looks AWESOME!

And speaking of zombies, the guys over at Bad Lip Reading have done it again with a lip dub of The Walking Dead! Check out the hilarity:

I have got some squeal-worthy stuff for you today! Let’s just say that today, The Huffman Post has more trailers than a redneck family reunion!

Since Comic Con was last week, all of the trailers we’ve been waiting for have finally arrived! *Cue the Kermit arm flail* “YAYYYY!!!”

First up, its The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies (with a sweet serenade from Pippin!)

Get your battle face on, people. This next trailer is going to make you want to start a revolution! (Click the link; I couldn’t find the trailer on YouTube. Womp, womp.)
