Happy Friday, y’all! It seems like an eternity since I’ve done a Fan Girl Friday and I am soooooo excited about it! Let’s dive right in!

Some days, adulting is hard. Whether you’re a stay-at-home-momma that needs a little something to take the edge off or an up-and-comer at your company, we could all use a little pick-me-up at the end of a long day. And what better way to knock one back than in this trophy wine glass!

Sure its not one of the participation awards that so many have gotten in the past, but it will still give you that sense of accomplishment when you’re sipping chardonnay!

Ever since seeing Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, I have been OBSESSED with the adorable little creature that Newt carries around with him–a niffler! Now I can wear the cutie-patootie around my neck!

This precious necklace is made by Aisha Voya Creations! She’s got other accessories on her website including a variety of Harry Potter-inspired lapel pins and awesome dragon hair clips!

If you’ve ever dreamed of being like Ms. Frizzle with her wonderfully wacky outfits, I’ve got just the thing for you! Check out this a-DORK-able glow-in-the-dark constellation dress from Think Geek!

I guarantee if you wear this to your next night on the town, you will definitely be the brightest star of the bunch! Hey-oh!

My family and I proudly proclaim that we speak fluently in movie quotes. I feel like this next game was made for folks like us! Meet Schmovie, your favorite new board game!

jqjq_schmovie_game_of_madeup_movies

According to the website, the object of Schmovie is: “…trying to convince the other players that your title is the best of the bunch for whatever concept is being pitched to the producer(s). We’re not asking for a full script here – just a working title. Bad puns are highly encouraged! Each round you’ll roll the genre dice (sci-fi, rom-com, horror, action, drama, and producer’s choice), and then draw two premise cards – one ‘What?’ and one ‘Who?’ The combination of those cards give you the movie you’re trying to pitch. If your movie gets the greenlight then you’ll win a shquid trophy. Win enough trophies and you win the game. Easy, right?”

Fan Girl Friday!

Fan Girl Friday Background

Happy Friday, peeps! I know, I know… I’ve really been slacking on the blogging this week. With sickness infiltrating the Huffman Homestead at every turn, its been tough to get us back on our normal routine. Thankfully, all of us are on the uphill swing and I’m getting my shiz together so I can bring you more of the blog posts you’ve come to know and love. Well, maybe not love, but at least tolerate.

Let’s dive in to the nerdy nifties I’ve found for you this week!

Sometimes, being an adult is hard. Just the day-to-day responsibilities and duties that we have to fulfill can be a drag and you just want to feel like a kid again. Enter our first find, courtesy of Perpetual Kid:

chardonnay__35517-1485547322-1280-1280

Oh yes, you read that right: Chardonnay Cotton Candy! For those days when you want to feel like a kid again, but also sophisticated adult that drinks wine. There’s also beer-flavored,  birthday cake, and even bacon!

There was a debate this week at the Huffman Homestead as to which was better: Star Wars or Star Trek. Needless to say, things got pretty heated between me and Huff the Tot. I’ll always be hashtag Team The Force, but even I have to admit that Star Trek has some pretty cool tech. And its actually become a reality! Check out this exclusive from ThinkGeek:

jmgi_st_tng_bluetooth_com_badge

Yes, that is an actual WORKING Combadge! This bad boy uses Bluetooth® technology to sync with your phone so you can totes feel like Picard, Crusher, Worf, and the whole TNG gang! Click here to check out all the specs–its not just for calls!

Hey fangirls and boys, I’m back with another round-up of geeky goodies! Mother’s Day is next Sunday, and I’ve found some gifts for the nerd-mama in your life! Let’s get to it, shall we?

I love purses. I’m kind of like Jessica Day in that sense. If you’ve got a mom that loves to accessorize and show off her nerdy side, then look no further than Etsy shop, Geeky Girl Glitter!

How cute is that Batman purse? She also has a Vinyl Pop inspired Harley Quinn bag and other DC heroes/villains-themed goodies! Go check her out!

This next find is awesome because it can be a gift for Mom AND Dad! When going places with a little one, diaper bags can be a tad overwhelming. They’re not the most functional satchels; everything falls to the bottom! But not in this bad boy:

tactical diaper bag

It’s a tactical diaper bag! Exclusively from Think Geek, this bag has two removable pouches, 16 pockets (with zippers), AND Velcro name patches! Plus, it goes with everything with its simple black style!

Got a techy mom who also likes to stay fabulous? Check out this iGlam lipstick stylus from Perpetual Kid!

Now she can access apps easier—like Facebook to post embarrassing photos of you!

If your mom is more of a wine connoisseur, keep her looking tidy with these!

wine wipes

Their Wine Wipes! They keep Mom’s lips, teeth, and tongue clear of red wine stains so she can have more than one glass and no one will know!

Plus, you can pair it with one of these fantastic glasses!

rapunzel wine glass

Etsy shop owner Kelly Arce Designs has a collection of Disney-themed wine glasses! I LOVE the Rapunzel one and the Cruella de Ville one! She also has a Harry Potter-inspired goblet!

Happy fangirling!
