Hey everyone! I’ve got a Try It Twofer today, so get ready! Here we go!
Y’all know I’m obsessed with Oreos and all the fun flavors they come out with. This weekend I tried these:
Y’all, these were DELISH! They seriously tasted like a mini apple pie! I think these may be my favorite non-chocolate Oreos EVER!
Whenever Chobani comes out with a new flavor of their flips line, I’ve just gotta try it! I actually went a little crazy last time I was at Target and bought 6 different flavors! What? They were new. I HAD to try them all! Anyway, the one I tried today was carrot cake.
I won’t lie, when I first opened the package, I had a little bit of buyer’s remorse. The yogurt did NOT look appealing at all. It was just a weird color and had chunks of carrot in it.
BUT, after I mixed in the toppings and took a whiff of that yummy cinnamon smell, I was eager to take a bite! This flavor did NOT disappoint! It was super yummy AND filling!

I’ve been seeing a lot of DIY sensory play in my Pinterest feed lately (probably because of the glitter bottles I made a few weeks back. Which, by the way, worked like a charm!) so I decided to try another one!
Its homemade silly putty! Here’s what you need:
That’s it! Oh, and a willing assistant to test said putty. Which, I had on hand:
Start with a cup of yogurt and 3/4 cup corn starch. Mix together. If its still sticky, keep adding corn starch. If its too grainy, add more yogurt. Keep doing this until you reach the desired consistency.
I wasn’t able to take any pictures of the process because corn starch is the devil and it gets everywhere and makes you lose your mind because of its ability to cling to clothes/hands/the floor/everything within a 2-mile radius until your home looks like Tony Montana’s desk in Scarface.
But, finally, I got the consistency I wanted!
It kept my little assistant busy for a hot minute while I unloaded/re-loaded the dishwasher. She really enjoyed it when I got out a few cookie cutters.
When she lost interest, I put it into a gallon sized Ziploc bag. THEN it was enjoyable for Momma. Mostly because it felt like a stress ball, lol. That’s when I thought, “Hey! This might be a good sensory play-type thing for kids! They can squish this together and keep their little hands busy!”
All in all, it wasn’t my favorite Try It, but definitely not my least favorite! Have you ever tried this? What were your results? Share in the comments below!
Y’all know I love trying new products–especially products that save me time as well as energy. Now that I’m working part time at a Mother’s Day Out program, I have to pack lunches for myself (as well as Huff the Tot) twice a week. Normally, I eat leftovers or Amy’s Organic meals when we’re at home, so making a lunch that’s portable has been a bit of a struggle. Especially when I don’t have easy access to a microwave and I pb&j’s only do so much for a breastfeeding momma’s hunger. While doing some grocery shopping, I came across some new products and thought I’d snag them for my lunch to see if they were any good!
First up, Hillshire Farms Snacking: Small Plates
This little tray was DELISH! Its basically a Lunchable® for grownups! I didn’t realize there were other flavors and I can’t wait to try them all! I will say, the only place I’ve been able to find it locally is Target, but according to the HF website, they’re also available at Homeland stores! Woot!
For dessert the same day I had the snack tray, I pack some yogurt. I LOVE Chobani’s Flip yogurts, but they can’t count as a “dessert” at lunch if they’re 200+ calories (at least, for me that’s a tad too high). So I was SUPER excited when I saw that they now come in 100 calorie portions!
I tried the Strawberry Chocolate Truffle and man-oh-man, it was SO. FLIPPIN’. GOOD. I felt like I was indulging, but it was only 100 calories! HOLLA!

As you all know, I’m trying really hard to be as healthy as I can whilst growing the little nerdling in my tummy. I try to eat fresh fruits and veggies a much as I can, but some days I need something besides an apple or banana. Enter, two new products!
First up, Sargento Fast Breaks!
These awesome little containers come with cheese (protein) and either almonds and cranberries (protein and fiber) or cashews and raisins! They come three to a pack and I got ’em for less than $3 each! They are SO good! And with only 190 calories (not that I’m really counting calories too much right now) they make a GREAT snack! I highly recommend these!
Next I tried Chobani’s new Flip flavor: PB&J!
Its strawberry yogurt with peanut butter crunchies and little granola bits! This was SO good! I actually ate it as a dessert the other day! I love the chocolate almond version, so I’m super happy that I like this one too! Another one of their new flavors was Sriacha Mango! That was a little too out there for me, lol.
Have you tried these yet? What did you think? Do you have any snacks that you’d recommend to the readers? Share in the comments below!
So, you all know how I am OBSESSED with cheesecake, right?
I eat it.
I dream about it.
I may have even married it had Huff the Hubs not come along.
But, sadly, my love affair with the creamy dessert has come to an end now that I have baby weight I want to lose.
Or has it?
I found an AMAZING recipe on Pinterest and was super excited to try it out. Its healthy, packed with protein, AND low calorie. The best part? ITS CHEESECAKE.
All you need are three ingredients:
~Sugar free, fat free Jello-O Cheesecake mix
~Milk (the recipe called for almond milk, but I used regular milk)
~plain yogurt (the recipe called for Chobani, but I’ve bad things about it so I bought Fage)
First, mix up 1 cup of yogurt, 2 tbsp of the Jell-O mix, and 1/4 cup milk until its creamy.
Then, pour in a small dish (it makes 2 servings–each only 100 calories!) and poof! Done.
See how easy that was?! And–best part–it actually tastes GOOD! I am so jazzed because now I can satisfy my sweet tooth and still stay on track to lose weight! *cue the happy dance*
